Kelsie completely redesigned our existing back yard into a lush tropical retreat. Our garden was outdated and tired. Thank heavens for Kelsie! We were stuck for ideas, had an odd shape to work with and lots of rock. Kelsie quickly took charge and presented a cost efficient & quality landscaped design for our raised fire pit area complete with steps & above ground planters. We also expressed to Kelsie how we wanted to maximum our spend on the concrete finish and an outdoor kitchen as opposed to drafting & planting costs, Kelsie was able to understand our desires and our budget. Having brown thumbs ourselves we were also very impressed with her knowledge of plants and flora. We are very happy to recommend Kelsie’s services. We first met on the building site of our new home where we outlined our broad concept for the garden. We were delighted with the formal plan she provided which both captured our ideas but added her creative touches to make the area look really special. She suggested interesting materials for retaining, steps, and pathways etc and provided a comprehensive list of plants suited to the site. During construction she successfully negotiated on our behalf with the local council to resolve planning issues.

Kelsie was recommended to us to by a friend in the commercial landscaping business. We had a relatively small driveway / entry  / wall space to landscape and wanted to make an impact that wasn’t going to tie us to the garden every weekend.  We were not disappointed in her service and ideas.

Kelsie got to know what we liked (and disliked) and what style of landscaping we wanted. She also introduced some hard landscaping elements in the form of bluestone paving and a large feature urn in a prominent place within her design recommendation. We found her design to be innovative, textural, architectural and importantly low maintenance. We preferred to do the manual preparation and installation of the plants ourselves so we were provided with a simple hand sketch design, identifying plant species (with alternatives) and placement. She provided recommendations of suppliers and gave us an idea of costs. Our consult lasted about 90 minutes, but in that time we achieved everything we needed. Kelsie was highly responsive to follow up email queries and gave freely of her expertise. We have finished our project and are just waiting for the spring time burst of growth so we can watch it evolve. Kelsie was a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend her consultancy.
